This year, we’re proud to have successfully conducted and concluded our very first Virtual SMART Summer Internship Program! During the internship, interns were able to spend time working on relevant projects depending on departmental needs, learning about the field and developing their skills. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, this summer was challenging, however, our interns were resilient and dedicated to exploring the working environment both physically and virtually, resulting in work performance that was largely consistent between in-person and virtual experiences.

Our Talent & Development Team worked with different departments to ensure that our interns have clear expectations of specific learning goals and outcomes, as well as ensuring constructive and motivational feedback for their performance in an addition to an efficient onboarding session.
